Having worked with actors, musicians and filmmakers for most of his career, on set is a relaxed place to be for Rankin. Having shot commercials and music videos for some of the biggest brands and artists around, he has always had an understanding of the wider audience and not what’s just in front of the lens.
As Creative Director of Hunger Magazine and The Full Service, Vicky is a visual fanatic. Directing content across fashion, music videos, short films and TV commercials, her approach is to create bold, attitude heavy pieces of work. Working for brands such as Jil Sander, Chanel, FeelUnique, Reiss and Coco de Mer, she brings an edgy and provocative flair to her work – as well as getting gutsy performances from artists including Rita Ora, Charlotte OC and George the Poet. A bright light in a new wave of female directors, Vicky was nominated for Best New Director at the 2015 Shots Awards and won a Silver at the 2016 Young Director Award in Cannes. A Yorkshire nomad, Vicky now calls London home.
Hailing from a small village called Hesketh Bank, North West England. If he wasn’t in the big city now, he’d be back there picking lettuces. A fan of the old ways, but always looking forward for the new ways. Passionate about directing and bringing to screen his vision, Gary also excels in Editing, having recently won Best Editing at the 2016 Berlin Fashion Film Festival for his Nike CR7 edit. With his down time he watches classic films with a good red wine, exploring, and cracking the secrets of the universe.
A lover of film, Jack began his career at Rankin over five years ago and within that time he has tallied up hundreds of hours experience in the Rankin studio. A true ‘Jack of all trades’ his talents spread across editing, lighting and operating with such names as; Nike, Reebok, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, French Connection, Reiss, Mustang, Braun, Tinie Tempah, Rita Ora, Miley Cyrus and Heidi Klum. It was only a matter of time before he took to directing and he quickly established himself as one of Rankin’s lead directors. MSGM, Bastille and Gabrielle Aplin and but a few names he has worked with. Surrounding himself in all aspects of the industry, only a pork pie could prise him away.
